HOW TO DO AN ADVANCED SEARCH.

Mon Jul 08, 2013 3:56 pm by Admin

For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.

When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).

After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

Power and Torque figures Empty Power and Torque figures

Post  quarterflash Mon Nov 27, 2017 5:18 am

Hi
I recently had my car tested on a rolling road. The figures are as follows:
Engine power - 285 bhp or 212Kw, Wheel power 222bhp or 166Kw and Torque - 214lb.ft
Max power at 132mph.
Bearing in mind that the engine is from a '95 vette do the figures seem about right?
I think the power might be in the right region but the torque seems low.

Thankx

is it an lt1 or lt4? the lt1 is factory rated at 300hp and 330 ft/lb, so the horsepower figure is right in the ballpark for a 22 year old engine, but the torque number seems wack.

Yes it is an LT1 and I agree the torque seems too low. Also the engine has only done just over 62,000 miles.
Thanx

Using a 15% loss at the rear wheels as compared to the crank/engine numbers your HP and torque numbers sound a bit low. 222HP divided by .85 = 261(at the engine). Use the same math for the torque.
Your results sound low.
