HOW TO DO AN ADVANCED SEARCH.

Mon Jul 08, 2013 3:56 pm by Admin

For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.

When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).

After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

Just wanted to introduce myself officially here since I have been lurking these boards for a while now. I have been gathering as much info about these conversions for a couple of months, but it tends to be overwhelming. So I am appologizing in advance for some newb questions I may have....
I am not a novice wrenching, but not a pro to say the least. I have done a dozen or so engine pulls with audis for turbo swaps, plus hondas when I was younger. So, I can wrench, but at this point i have a very little time and this swap will take the rest of it. I guess that's life, or how can I say it......... oh, I have a wife now, and I am not as free to go pulling a motor every other weekend. I look forward to learning from a lot of you guys guys for making this site.

I have my 951s to do a swap in, i picked up a LS1 engine from a camaro, and purchased the book already, (just waiting patiently for it)

now for my first newb question. c5 bellhousings for the adapter, do i use one from a 01 zo6? im assuming there is no changes since its still a c5? Smile

1997-up Corvette (GM Part #12554980).

There is another C5 BH out there, but it's a one-piece for the automatic, and the LSX pressure plates won't clear it. The auto BH can be used on the LT1 with a 10.5 (10.4...) clutch.

Manual is coming...the 2nd time.

hehe....no worries at all.... I get it now tho.

Thanks for the input on the bellhousing, the seller is making it sound "different" from a standard c5 bellhousing, hence the newb question.

As long as he doesn't think "different" means he can sell it for "more" Smile
