HOW TO DO AN ADVANCED SEARCH.

Mon Jul 08, 2013 3:56 pm by Admin

For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.

When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).

After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

I've been doing a little reading, and have seen that people run both master cylinders it seems for the V8 conversion? I have an OEM C5Z slave cylinder I am planning to use. What are the most recent thoughts on the Wilwood 13/16" clutch master cyl vs stock?

If the Wilwood is the optimal choice, how easy is mounting it? Use the stock studs, and modify the master slightly? Along with a custom clevis to attach to the pedal?

Thanks!

I use the 13/16 wilwood. Most important thing is to get the angle correct so that the plunger goes straight in, otherwise they start leaking fairly quickly!

The 13/16 is ideal and you only need a file or dremel to mod it. It will also seat properly to the firewall angle when bolted down.
It needs a 90° npt adapter.

Ok, great. If I just mount it to the Porsche studs, it should be aligned perfectly then. As far as the clevis, do you make a custom one or modify the Porsche one?

I have made many, but don't any more as I posted the adapters dimensions here.
I do have a couple spare npt adapters and 30" SS line if you're interested. $30 shipped us-48

I think I've got some jic adapters and lines around here somewhere.
I haven't found the drawing for that clevis. Is it posted in this sub forum?

Ah, awesome, thanks!

One more quick question, how do you go about connecting to the corvette slave cyl? Is there a quick connect adapter to -3AN?
