For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.
When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).
After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

oil filter and coolant line connection questions
I have the TPC oil pan with the filter adapter in place what filter are you guys using ? I bought the LS1 replacement filter and it does not fit, I wrongly assumed it would use the stock part....
Also when using the stock Porsche coolant tank I assume you would plumb the lower 5/8 connection to the radiator, what do you do with the upper 5/8 outlet / inlet ?
Once again I thank you for any help !
Jim

Re: oil filter and coolant line connection questions
Is this a turbo coolant tank? I have a n/a, it only has one small connection that I t'ed into radiator steam vent and engine steam vent. If your tank has two, you can use one for each.
Not sure on the oil filter, my pan has AN-10 connections for an external filter.

Re: oil filter and coolant line connection questions
Sorry I assumed they were the same for the coolant tank, it is a turbo so there are 2, 5/8 inch ports I used the lower port to go to the radiator as I think it would work fine as an expansion tank, just not sure if I should plug the upper port or if it should be plumbed somewhere else, it has a dedicated port for the steam system with an AN-4 fitting. I know the for sure way to get the filter size is to call TPC but have not been able to get in in touch with any one there.
Thanks,
Jim

Search bud. You're gonna have lots of questions and a lot of them will already be covered by people who went through the same problems.
