Power Steering Hose Options
I've done a search on here, but couldn't find concise info on this:
I'm finishing up my LS1 swap on my '88. I've got hydroboost for brakes and a GM PS pump. What are my options for power steering hoses? At this point I'd like to just get the engine fired up for the first time, so could I just block off the pump for now?

TPC sells a full hose/fitting kit for the hydroboost system. You will burn up the pump if you run it without fluid. If you just want to test fire the engine, you can just pull the belt. But i would not run it for very long without any water.

Agreed with Leva, don't run your ps pump at all without fluid. I bought the fittings, figured out lengths and had a local shop make my lines.
