HOW TO DO AN ADVANCED SEARCH.

For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.
When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).
After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

89 LS Brake Upgrade
Just wanted to add some updates on my 89 Brake upgrade(s). After installing a Hydroboost MC and reading so many different responses, I decided on what would be my rotor/caliper upgrades. I had already purchased a set of 2002 Boxster (no-S) calipers and rotors for front/back. Everyone suggested after the fact that I acquired a 996 brake setup. After much research, the only difference is 4mm thickness on the front rotors. This may be significant on the track but doubtfully on the street. Now I needed adaptors for using my new brake setup on my car. Reaching out to VDUB Engineering, I spoke to Lanner, sent him some pics and was off and running. A week later, in my home was my new adapters, bolts and centering rings for my setup. Really nice guys and very informative. After a couple of hours of cleaning my hubs and removing my old rotors, calipers and pads, I installed my front setup and with no issues or mods. He made everything to spec and it all bolted right up. Will be a while before I can drive it and check everything out but at this point I am very happy. Some pics included. Thanks to Lanner for making this go
so easy.
so easy.

Re: 89 LS Brake Upgrade
Conversion looks great. I also have a 1989NA and am considering doing a similar swap, but using 18Z 6 piston calipers off a Cayenne. I'm in contact with Lanner at VDub too. Anxious to see what he can come up with.
