Hood to throttle body clearance
Does anyone have pictures and the dimensions of where to trim the underwood reinforcement to clear the cable activated throttle body? I am going to put a new hood on my car and I want to trim it before I paint it.
Thank you, Gil

Re hood clearance
Thanks for the picture. Am I correct that you were able to leave the edges of the reinforcement intact?

Re: Hood to throttle body clearance
Yes. I cut at the support part's highest part from the hood surface. This gave me room to make the cut and left it some structural strength.

Hood cut out
Did you glue in the plate? Could you give me the dimensions of the size of the cut and how far it is away from the front support that the hood latch bolts to? I really appreciate it.

RE- Hood to throttle body clearance.
Thank you for the information. Now I can trim the hood to the correct size and paint it when I paint the rest of the engine compartment.
