HOW TO DO AN ADVANCED SEARCH.

For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.
When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).
After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

Intake Problem
I have an LS1 F-Body with an LS6 intake. Using the TPC kit which installed nicely onto the TT and the cross member but I don't seem to have the same clearance at the front to the latch / radiator as I see in other pictures. I can fabricate an intake as a work around but I'm wondering why? Anyone else with such little clearance? Any issues I should look for? Thanks for any ideas.

Re: Intake Problem
I have / had about the same amount of clearance, I ended up removing the latch mechanism and using hood pins, it allowed a strait run out of the throttle body and also moved the air intake forward of the engine bay to allow a cold air intake point. I can email pictures if it helps but for some reason I haven't been able to post pics.

Re: Intake Problem
Pictures would be great! Its a relief that I don't have some more fundamental issue that no one else had. The fact that both the TT and the engine mount cross member agreed (fit) made me believe the engine location fore and aft was correct but I sure have seen pics with more clearance.

I slotted the mounting holes in the front and rear cross members to slide the whole drivetrain backward to get some room.

Hadn't considered that. I've seen Pics complaining about the space and they already had almost 4 inches clearance. I started with 2.8 to the hood latch. I'm starting with a 951, not sure if that is different than the NA baseline but I'd need to make some really long slots unless there is some other issue I have that's unique.
