HOW TO DO AN ADVANCED SEARCH.

For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.
When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).
After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

Need help wiring up the air conditioning...
So I had a PSI wiring harness installed this past off season and now that spring/summer has rolled around I wanted to get the A/C working again. I got the system leak checked and charged up, now I just need to wire it all up.
My shop is having a very difficult time finding the A/C trigger wire that sees positive voltage so we can use it to trigger the Camaro PCM. We thing we've found it behind the drivers headlight, but neither wire is showing any voltage.
Can anyone give me an assist on finding the proper trigger wire, either on the fuse box, behind the hvac head or ???
TIA!

I haven't got to that yet, but was thinking I'd see if that was an output from the climate control I could use.

What compressor are you using? If GM have you modified the internal valve to make it constant pressure.
Search this site for info on how to do it.
I did not use the PCM to control the ac, I just hooked up GM compressor to the old Porsche compressor trigger. Keep the Porsche high and low pressure switches (on the drier) in the system.

Figured it out. We had the right trigger wires, but my AC switch was bad. Complicating matters was the extra hvac head I had was bad too.
Not sure if I've done that mod to the compressor or not, Admin built my car, he might remember if he did it...
Have a link to the thread showing how to do it?

On my car they were hiding behind the driver side headlight. I'll have to check the colors and get back to you...

I just emailed you the PDF of the conversion. I basically just epoxied the hole shut instead of welding it. You will need a small pair of c-clip spreaders.
