HOW TO DO AN ADVANCED SEARCH.

For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.
When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).
After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

Anyone got a conversion manual from Greg recently (Nov 2011)?
Appears I'm another sucker that has paid Greg Sloan for a conversion manual. Seems they occasionally get sent (figure he must have a pile of them, you don't print books one at a time!) and it's only been a few weeks, so I live in hope. I have filed a dispute with Pay Pal, at least that might help towards other people not getting ripped off.
With all the hassles with Greg, cant the moderators stick a note in when you click on the wiki (from where you can find the info to order the manual) warning about the slow or non-existent shipping. I am not blaming the moderators, but I sent the money for the manual (obviously) with out reading this section first. I guess I assumed that there was no issue, because I found the link to the manual from the forum. Generally, if there's a issue on a forum, it gets fixed pretty fast because so many people get pissed off.
Anyway, I've read this section now, so at least I know. You never know, I might be lucky, it could get sent.

Don't hold your breath. No one has had any contact with him in a while. He has skipped out with thousands of our collective dollars. Sorry, to hear you made a purchase. You think paypal would revoke his rights, several people have filed disputes.

I don't think that Greg would put a sticky saying how not to order his book in his own Wiki page!

I think I was one of the last to get one. Got it better than a year ago now.

I had a random package arrive from O/S today, about book size and weight, I thought I was going to have to eat my words......................but no, it was an iPad that we got when my wife signed us up for something. But still no manual

I'm in the same boat. Ordered in early September, I got an email from him in October saying it would be shipping the next week but I never got it and he hasn't responded to two follow-up emails.

If you don't file a paypal dispute within 45 days, they won't help you out.

Sorry to hear another person go taken advantage of. You will never see anything for your money.

Except for having to file a dispute, that is good news. Maybe he is getting back on his feet.

I used paypal and paid with a credit card. I figured there wasn't much risk, since I could dispute with either one.
