HOW TO DO AN ADVANCED SEARCH.
Mon Jul 08, 2013 3:56 pm by Admin
For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.
When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).
After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

new buyer, looking for info
Does the manual show a converted car's weight? I am looking at a 88 944s LT1 RH home conversion, and the owner is stating that the car is around 2700lbs with a so so diet.
Things like water resevoir for windshield is gone, as are back seats and rear wiper. Most else is there, apart from headlight motor and headlight transmission, he has a fancy magnet and "cam lock" slider holder you need to slide with your fingers to make the HL stay up. Pretty neat actually.
Weight seems a little on the optomistic side, as some places put the stock 944S around 3,000lbs (trackepedia). Pelican has 944s at 2637, heck, even uh, a manufacturer says 1280kgx2.2=2850 with a 4cyl stock. Anyone weighed theirs? Its too snowy here to drive to a truck stop. I will be corner weighing, once I buy it and get an adjustable set of suspension stuff.
Love the site, I will be having an inspection today and hopefully a new owner by Friday.
Where do I find or figure out what are the weak points of the RH conversion? I know there are things you guys don't like, i just haven't read between the lines enough (and they have been removed elsewhere) with the RH kit.

COST AND CUSTOMER SERVICE, THAT IS WHAT STARTED THIS SITE AND EVERYONE'S DRIVE TO DO IT OURSELVES.
Re: new buyer, looking for info
2700 is not out of the question even for a iron block car. Getting in that range is reachable without AC and supporting Porsche hardware, no cat, no factory sound deading, getting rid of the factory carpeting and so on.

OH and RH has taken over kingofchode.com as well. Crappy deal but you got to keep a finger on the competition!

Re: new buyer, looking for info
As I understand it the chode was discovered and named by Da Vinci, during his anatomization (dissections) first thought to be a vey important part to maintain balance. Then later discovered to be just a worthless waste of skin.
So somewhere in the last 100 years or so it has became a slang / dirogitory term for a fu**up or being worthless. We commonly call the chode of Da Vinci discovery the “taint"
