For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.

When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).

After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

Hello everyone.

Recently, my wife and I have been discussing our "Toys", and with welcoming our Son into the family in early 2020, my conversion project just hasn't seen as much attention as it deserves.  It did see the the Road-Course twice since its been swapped, and it was an absolute blast to drive, even without being "Dialed In".

The car is a Red 1983, with the 944 Turbo Rear valance, and Turbo Twist Reps 17s.  I bought it in 2017 with 57k miles, and it currently has almost 59k miles. I paid $4500 for the car.

I did every bit of work myself, with the exception of any welding. (Custom Oil Pan, Custom Exhaust). The motor is an all-aluminum  5.3L, with a complete re-work of the Cam and valvetrain.  The cam makes power up to the 6800 rpm range.  I will attempt to list out everything I have purchased and installed:

I am interested in buying the car. Where are you located? Any issues needed to be addressed? Does the ac and heat work?

Thanks, Bob

I am located in Southern Michigan. Heat is not hooked up, and I have removed all of the AC components.

The intermittent wipers do not work, but you can still control them manually; and the Headlights are stuck on High Beams. I wasn't worried about any of these things as I just wanted a track car.

Is the ac in the dash removed as well? If so, do you still have the parts that came out?

Everything in the dash I left alone. I wanted it to remain as stock looking as possible.

The Oil pressure, Tach, speedo, Temp, battery, etc all work.

I love the aluminum 5.3 liters. I have one myself.

The Rods are Stout with full floating witspins. I understand why they take a ridiculous amount of power as is.
