Just drove 800 miles and bought my LS1

From philadelphia suburbs to ohio and back in 12 hours, 800 miles, picked up my LS1 long block, intake manifold, and coil packs for $650. The guy had pulled it out of a 98 trans am in favor of 6.0. It needs sensors, some sensor hookup thing for hte knock sensors under the valley cover, oil pump, etc. I was amazed that we could 2man grunt lift it into the back of my truck, surprisingly light, if I got a good hold of it I could probably lift it myself. Can't weigh more than 200-300lbs dry. I'm going to set up in the garage tomorrow, pick up a cherry picker to get it out of my truck, put it on the stand, and start taking things apart. ARP head bolts, rod bolts, valve cover gaskets, head gaskets, LS7 lifters on order. We'll see what we find when I get it apart. Flipped it over and looked down in, nothing looks out of the ordinary, so I think we're good to go.
