Big Reds upgrade
Cost aside, will swapping to Big Reds from stock turbo calipers provide a significant braking improvement to a manual brake setup already With stock MC, drilled pedal, ss lines, Hawk pads

You will probably need a different master cylinder for those calipers.

Probably diff MC? Do you know/think there would be any positive change to braking while retaining stock MC?

It will probably make the pedal feel soft and mushy... I don't think it would be any better than what you already have.

Smaller or bigger bore?
I have a smaller bore 13/16" MC I could use.

Bigger. But try what you have; it might be ok. I had manual brakes at one point, I switched to hydroboost. My brakes feel normal again.

Re: Big Reds upgrade
Dont bother. Just convert to hydroboost.
Having tried several manual options and a hydroboost set-up, with stock 944 Turbo MC, I can tell you the manual option is not worth the effort or risk.
