For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.
When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).
After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

944 LT1 engine mounts and dash lights
My father started this project almost 20 years ago and I'm trying to finish it up but am running into a few problems and was wondering if you guys could help me with some info.
It's a 1987 944s with a 95 Camaro lt1 installed. The throttle body looks to be too high for the stock hood to fit, is this a standard-issue or is there possibly something wrong with the way the engine was mounted?
I understand the tach has to be recalibrated, the dash is also flashing lights for the oil and brakes. Will these need to be re-calibrated?
thank you again for your time and any information you can prov[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Re: 944 LT1 engine mounts and dash lights
On mine I had to cut the hood rib for the hood to close (its a lt1). I used a Dakota digital tach converter for the tach, there's an oil pressure sensor that will work with the lt1 and the porsche gauge (look in the wiki in the top left corner of this page). And to get rid of the brake pad lights, either change the sensors/ brake pads (if the sensors actually work) or cut and tie the brake pad sensor wires together.

Hi Alexcva
I am also in the UK and have the LT1 engine ('95 Corvette) fitted and running, develops around 300bhp. PM me if you wish, it would be good to swap ideas and information. I would certainly be interested in what you are doing. Who knows, you mught live in the same area?
I also have some parts.
My project is pretty well finished but there are still some jobs to do.
