HOW TO DO AN ADVANCED SEARCH.

For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.
When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).
After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

How to finish the bonnet off?
Hi Guys
I have modified the bonnet to clear my LT1 engine but how should i blend it in with the badge panel and lights. The lights will be twin static from Vintage Exotics. All suggestions gratefully received.

Re: How to finish the bonnet off?
Did you buy it that way or did you modify it? At first I thought you put the hood on backwards.
Hard to say how to blend it because it cuts off so abruptly, maybe if you tapered it back on an angle.

Re: How to finish the bonnet off?
Hi Vundba
No it is a standard fiberglass bonnet that we have modified.
We had to add the increased height because of the intake elbow etc that is at the front of the engine. I don't know how other hybrid owners manage to get the bonnet shut without modification. I have removed the pop-up lights and their actuation system and the bonnet latch.
We are thinking at the moment to add an additional modified badge panel that blends the current badge panel in with the new bonnet perhaps to also include an air intake.

Re: How to finish the bonnet off?
I've got an Lt1 with a GM lt4 head kit and a BBK throttle body ,I put a rubber elbow and a Spectre cone shape air filter .I also removed the hood latch assembly and use hood pins but my hood clearance is atleast 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch.If your intake is standard then your engine is sitting to high.I would post a picture but it's to much of a pain in the *ss on this site .

Like this, with a 4 inch intake it fits without issue. What is hitting on your engine?

You're going to need a custom header panel to blend that.
I echo the statement that it looks like you've got it backwards. At least here in the US, cowl induction hoods point the opposite direction.
Check out IFC Racing, they have a very nice cowl induction hood made specifically for LS swapped 944's.
