HOW TO DO AN ADVANCED SEARCH.

Mon Jul 08, 2013 3:56 pm by Admin

When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).

After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

Purchased a 1979 928 with only 12,178 miles on the clock. Car was part of a collection up in Mass. Owner passed away a few years back and left the small collection to his wife. Wife sold the 79 to the Volvo mechainic/school teacher who was taking care of the collection. Unfortuently, the car was totaled and went to an insurance auction. Tass, a well know 928'r picked up this car and just never had the time to do anything with it, so decided to sell it. Purchased the 79 off of a thread on Rennlist and had it transported down to the coastal bend of Texas. Spoke with a few body shop gurus and they decided it be best to pick up a roller and go from there. Being a mutt now, decided to build my dream car. 79 always stored pascha inteiror, wiring harness and misc parts, combined with an 80 roller picked up just north of Dallas for cheap. Replace a front fender, stripped the 80, shaved almost everything and sent it out for paint. The color "Nordic Gold" was chosen, (2011 Porsche 911 cabriolet color).Decided to part out the low mileage driveline (still available) and install a new LS376/525 (injected) motor and a low mile 2004 Z05 drivetrain. Piranha Bros made it all possible. The crossmember & trans mount was done by Dinsdale Piranha with Rob Mott of XChop providing the custom axles to make this happen. Kits will soon be available for C5 6spd drivetrain - Porsche 928 motor, etc so stay tuned. I'll add pics if anyone is interested and intrust me on how to do it. 77tony

Pics are on renny in the 928 forums.
I'll be building one myself. My commute distance just doubled. Dinsdale says it's like 1400 RPM at 70mph Twisted Evil
