For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.
When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).
After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

NEWB FROM MS
Hey everybody! I have been tossing around the idea for quite a while about doing this swap and I finally made up my mind. I was going to do the larger turbo build ect....but, I wanted a "reliable" fast 951. So, come monday I am purchasing a LS1 with 60k miles on it complete with ECU/Harness and a tranny that I will be selling. Hope to learn a lot more from everybody! Any tips or comments, let me know!

Another one sees the light. Welcome aboard. The 948 breaks the CFR barrier (Cheap, Fast, Reliable). Use the search function and 4th link from left at top of page for your parts (TPC). Everyone is helpful and most importantly knowledgeable in the swap and electronics to get it done.

Hi
Welcome to the forum, as Xschop said there is a wealth of information on this site.
I would recommend that you use the search function or just browse the site and read, read, read.
As you read, make notes and you will accumulate a lot of knowledge.
Please remember that this conversion generates a very fast vehicle, so be sure to uprate the brakes.

Thanks guys! I'm glad to be here. I think I have seen and posted on almost every LS1 Porsche video on youtube. You guys inspired me that's for sure. I'm located in Madison just north of Jackson. Anybody somewhat close to me with one of these beasts?

I drive down to LA every couple of months to see my parents and pass by there. We might have to meet up on one of my trips down there. Infact I normally get off at exit 108/109 as my gas/food stop.

Yea definitely! I would love to check out your car prior to mine being done. Just got the motor pulled out today thanks to this site for the info! Saved a lot of frustration! It only took me about 12 hours or so and some much needed help from my Dad and some buddies....and beer.
