944NA trans (tall 5th) $50 SoCal

As title states, I have a complete early NA trans with the tall 5th gear that I want to move out of my garage. Located in San Diego, CA but can be transported to Riverside, CA for pickup from LA/OC/IE if that's easier.

Looking to just get $50 for it (probably its value in scrap), since it has a busted ring/pinion. R/P shredded one day while cruising the highway, just let go after going 60 miles without issue. Gears are fine (I have had the trans apart a few times, everything in the "transmission side" is fine, just the diff is shot). 5th gear was rarely used, and the trans overall has maybe 70,000 miles on it since new.

If/when you take it apart I may want to take the R/P back as souvenirs/paperweights :p

Can you pull the 5th gear combo and send with the rear alloy cover? I'll pay the shipping on top the $50 and you can have the rest of the paperweight.

By rear alloy cover I assume you mean the smaller aluminum bit behind the cast-iron section?

Yes, I'll need that to fly cut it down to install the TPC trans reinforcement plate.

EDIT: I wonder if you could remove the NA differential and mod it for Limited slip internals? Maybe even from another car? I know thw Audi V8 torsen differential has been modded to fit our boxes.

I have a 86 NA trans minus its 5th gear set, anybody looking (wants) for a rear cover to machine?
I'm planning to scrap the rest.
