HOW TO DO AN ADVANCED SEARCH.

Mon Jul 08, 2013 3:56 pm by Admin

For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.

When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).

After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

Hey,

I was looking at the front of my engine wondering how i was going to route the belt. The conversion manual recommends a 53" belt, is this how it's routed?

Three problems:

1. I'll have to replace the thermostat housing to get the belt to pass through there
2. It runs over an idler that is meant to have the flat side of the belt on it instead of the grooved side, can I replace it?
3. I measured 56.5", can the difference of 3.5" be made up in the tensioner and if not how much do I shave off that number for the tensioner?

Thanks,
Luke

Excellent, so I was on the right track. Did you move the whole tensioner or just change the pulley?

Do you happen to have the pn for the pulley and thermostat housing?

Thanks,
Luke

Neither. Im running an electric waterpump. Thats just a picture from LS1tech. But, they move just the pulley.

No PN for the pulley.... just aftermarket universal probably. The T-housing is CSR911LS1.

I'm using a LS1 with stock F body accesories and Turn one PS pump.
The belt for this configuration is 79" long.
