HOW TO DO AN ADVANCED SEARCH.

Mon Jul 08, 2013 3:56 pm by Admin

The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.

When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).

After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

Check your throttle operation!! Empty Check your throttle operation!!

I know this is a no-brainer, but my dad came to give me a hand over the weekend and while he was there, i had him check the throttle operation. Turns out i was only getting 3/4 throttle this whole time!

Here's what i did to fix it:
On the inside of the car, where the gas pedal linkage (not the pedal itself) pivots, there is a rubber bump stop. When you let up on the gas, the linkage hits this rubber stop. Remove the rubber stop!

This will allow you to raise the pedal up higher, thus giving you more "throw" on the gas pedal.

Even with this removed and the pedal raised all the way, i still only get ~98% throttle, but it's a heck of a lot better than it was!
