For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.

When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).

After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

I was going to put this in my other thread, but I think it is different enough to warrant its own:

It looks camaros are ideal for complete pull outs, but if I get an engine for a vette, which of the accessories/parts will work, and which will I need to source from a camaro? Can I use the vette pcm and harness? AC compressor? Alternator? Smog pump? No PS, but what else am I missing? I am looking at a plain vette 4 bolt main, but I can probably get some accessories and other stuff thrown in for a bit more, so I am wondering what else I should work into the deal, and what else I'll have to find separately.

Only F Body accessories will work. Smog pump and PCM and Wiring are compatible as are the SMOG/EGR tubes. Those are a must for the Pacesetter Headers that are compatable with Cali Emissions.

Thanks, Tim, I'll see if I can get that stuff thrown in, and start looking at what else i'll need. Are there any specific brackets/mounts for the F body cars, or do the different accs just bolt up to the engine?

It depends really. If you only plan on running the Alternator there are kits available that will only fit the alternator. If you are going to run PS and/or A/C then you need the accessory bracket as well as a Buicl Century V6 alternator and the bracket will need to be modified. What year Vette motor?

BTW Stock Vette manifolds do NOT work with a) the 944 or b) the F body A/c Compressor.

It is a '94. I will be running the alternator and AC only- though the AC can (and probably will) come later, I'd like to make all the allowances I can for it the first time through. If I plan on using the pacesetter headers, the manifolds shouldn't matter, right?

The manifolds will not bolt up and you will need the F Body Compressor and bracket then.

OK, I'll get the F body bracket and comp when I'm ready to go to AC, but to get things going I won't worry about it. My priority needs to be getting th BAR sticker first, then I can worry about the gravy later. Thanks Tim.

Ebay and Craigslist are a good place to start. If you can't find them there I might be able to get them for you, I have a guy that does nothing but part out Camaros and Firebirds.
The brackets need to be F body parts

So wait a sec you have to use a buick century alternator instead of the corvette alt are they the same or is there some reason for this? This is the first i have heard of this. Excuse my ignorance.

The V6 alt is smaller in dia. than the original one, and the room is need for clearance.
