HOW TO DO AN ADVANCED SEARCH.

Mon Jul 08, 2013 3:56 pm by Admin

For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.

When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).

After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

Dawgz83948 Empty Potential GREAT news.

Post  Dawgz83948 on Sun Jul 18, 2010 7:45 pm

If all goes well at the DMV, I'm getting a 1990 S2 Cabriolet. It needs some work on it's top and glovebox. I need to replace the ignition switch and trunk lock, but everything else looks fairly good.

So anyway my plan is to swap the entire early front end (steering, spindles, RX7 a-arms, crossmember, strut mounts, struts, etc) I plan on using the newer rear trailing arms and leaving the larger rear brakes. Removing the torsion bars and installing 450' rear coilover springs as well as upgrading the fronts to 400# coilover springs. After thats all done swapping my entire V8 setup into the new car and replacing some interior bits. I need to go through thissite to figure out the late wiring interface (tach and other). Any other suggestions?

So I will have a 60000 mile 3.0l DOHC S2 motor to sell complete and an S2 transmission (I'm assuming non LSD) Will know tomorrow though.

I got a pretty good deal. I haven't paid for it yet though, so there is a possibility the deal may fall through. I'm going to the DMV to verify the guy can actually sell the car, because a non-transferable car is worth exactly zero to me.

Now, has anyone stumbled upon a good site with diagrams for the cabrio's? Specifically how to on the tops?

I like the look of it in roadster form. I hadn't ever really contemplated a picture of one, but the rear fender flares work well without a roof.

Very nice.....
IIRC the Cab is close in weight to the 944 Turbo, ~ 2900 Lbs....

Dawgz83948 Empty 944S2 Cabrio Conversion

Post  Dawgz83948 on Sun Aug 29, 2010 8:53 pm

Has anyone done one of these cars. The electronics are the question and the lack of good wiring diagrams (or my ability to understand them). When the 944 motor was removed and if you use the 12 pin connector for the Chevy ECU will the factory alarm still work (including central lock)? I've decided to use the Turbo brakes and sell the LS430 CAlipers and adapters. My dash also has a Check engine light I want to use as the Chevy Check Engine light. I'm assuming that it's just a - to turn that light on.

My airbag light is on anyone have any clue on how to troubleshoot it?

Nobody has done a late conversion with power door locks and integrated the dash lights?
