HOW TO DO AN ADVANCED SEARCH.

For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.

When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).

After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

I am the same 88-toy, that I was over there. Based in Alvarado, Texas. I have a few friends that are helping here, I'm sure you all know. They will post there faces whenever they want to. I have nothing to hide, just ask and I'll try to accommodate. All I ask in return is that you share with others what you know or have learned.
Thanks
Eric

Please don't bash the other guys to bad around here. I would rather get back to business. Let's bring whomever we can to this site and I will expand it as much as I can to make it work.

Ah......yes yes yes. Is that a 3970010 block? whats the code stamped just above the oil filter location on the block?

I normally dont aprove of the use of silicone caulk but i'll let it slide.

I love the pan! You did that yourself and I admire that alot! Anytime someone fabs their own conversion parts, they are in my good book. You deserve a rep point and if I knew how to give you one, I would seriously think about doing it. Laughing

Keep it up....and always paint your engine bay when the engine is out. Makes the conversion POP!

You'll need a regulator...Aeromotive 13101 (There are cheaper regulators, but I would want at least an Aeromotive to knock down 45 PSIG...)

What slave are you using?

There should be an existing hydraulic line...it runs down the F/W from the clutch master to the (944) slave. BUT, the fittings will probably be different...= custom line.

Im not sure about the EFI pump feeding a carb even with a stout regulator. I tried this on a jeep wrangler conversion...killed the pump. Laughing But you can try it out and worse case is the pump fails and oh well...you want to use a mech. pump anyhow right? The 944 fuel tank is great for a carb'd engine in that the feed line is on the bottom of the tank whereas most cars, its on top of the tank. Just remove the pump (its under the tank hidden by a plastic shield) and put a line in its place.

Theres 4psi and 7psi pumps available at most autoparts stores. You need to find the right version for that carb (what carb is it and CFM) and regulators are always nice!

Holleys like ~6.5 psi, Edelbrock and AFB ~6psi. Any more and your flooding the bowls...The Holley 600 CFM vacuum secondary is a fairly easy carb to set up, and will feed 355 CID ~350 HP. Holley, Carter, Edelbrock all make excellent manual pumps also...
