HOW TO DO AN ADVANCED SEARCH.

Mon Jul 08, 2013 3:56 pm by Admin

For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.

When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).

After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

TPC Throttle Cable Questions Empty TPC Throttle Cable Questions

Post  CyCloNe! Fri Jun 04, 2021 8:08 am

Hey everyone got a few questions regarding the throttle cable I received from TCP.

1) The End to the Pedal Does it have to be changed out? As the Porsche was a female end that was like a rubber grommet. Do I cut off the nipple and drill the pedal?

*Note after further inspection I do notice one end that connects to the throttle cam has to be changed out but still curious about the cable attaching to the pedal.

I'll post a pic and a second but I see the kit came with cable stops so just want to make sure I do this the right way. Thank you!

You can drill out the pedal so the cable clevis pins to it. I have also drilled the holes in the clevis just big enough to go over the pedal pin and used a piece of rubber vacuum hose in the clevis to hold the cable on similar to the grommet that Porsche used.

The other end uses a barrel fitting that goes in the throttle body cam. The cable inserts into the barrel fitting and the set screw holds the cable in.
