For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.
When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).
After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

Largest tire size for 15 inch phone dials

I have a 5.3 swapped 944 in progress and was wondering what tire size can be run on the stock na phone dials. Other forums have covered this topic but the answers are very vague and the conversation usually goes off the specific topic. I do not want to run the stock tire size (215/60-15) as I suspect it would be a little sketchy with with double the horsepower and torque.

your wheels will be 15x7". you dont have much option for tire sizes that are larger. i think about your only option these days would be a 225/60-15. any wider will start getting into a range thats too wide for the wheel.
id look to some larger wheels. a 16" wheel will open up some tire size options, however id skip them and go to 17". i can say a 225/45r17 front and 255/40r17 works very well

anyone know of a wheel that looks like phone dials in a 17" or so like the Autostrada Monza 17"that is Similar To Porsche Phone Dial Wheels but cheaper that can be found in wide sizes ? preferable an offset that has a deep dish ....
