Torque tube question Empty Torque tube question

So I have the Porsche engine out and was just beginning to mock up my LS, I attached the adapter and bellhousing to the torque tube and noticed it moves side x side freely and up and down. Is that normal? Are the only attachment points to the torque tube the trans axle and engine? Thanks in advance
