HOW TO DO AN ADVANCED SEARCH.

The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.

When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).

After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

Oil and Cooling question Empty Oil and Cooling question

Post  gwistrup Sat Feb 08, 2020 11:13 am

I have the modified Moroso oil pan installed on my Aluminum 5.3 conversion and I need to know which fitting on the pan is the "out" to the remote oil filter and which one is the "in" from the filter.
I purchased a radiator from TPC with the hose kit and installed it the other day and realized that there is no way to fill the cooling system from the original coolant reservoir the way I have it hooked up. The radiator has the upper and lower hose locations on the passenger side and the steam fitting and threaded fitting for the original Porsche fan control on the driver side. I have the Porsche fan control sensor threaded into the driver side fitting and installed the steam line on the nipple that was supplied with the radiator. The upper hose and lower hose are connected to the passenger side of the radiator. I also have the heater hoses connected to the heater core through a vacuum controlled valve. How can I use the lower fitting on the coolant reservoir (it's an N/A coolant reservoir so it only has one fitting) and connect it to the system? thank you, Gil

You can use this in the upper radiator hose to tie into the coolant reservoir.
