HOW TO DO AN ADVANCED SEARCH.

Mon Jul 08, 2013 1:56 pm by Admin

When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).

After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

Intake Piping For Very Tight Clearances? Empty Intake Piping For Very Tight Clearances?

Post  MotoRider42HC on Mon Jun 24, 2019 11:41 am

My car will be forced to run a restrictor plate, so my throttle body will be 1" closer to the front of the car.

I have very very very little room for an intake pipe.

Anyone have suggestions? Links to products are best! Thanks!!!!!!

does the restrictor have to be run behind the throttle body, or can there be one in the intake pipe? i have seen sort of a cone shaped restrictor used in the air inlet tube on scca cars. if this is class legal it may be a better option.

the other problem your gonna run into by spacing the throttle body is hood clearance. with how much our hood slopes itll be an issue unless your running a cowl hood.

Unfortunately, I have to meet modified FIA regulations, which require a perfectly flat 55mm plate.
Edit: Must be between the throttle body and manifold.

I plan to cut the $#** outta my hood.  Total massacre!  Haha.

Thanks,
James

I just cut the hood latch out and went with AeroCatch latches.

I had to cut the bracing out in the area of the throttle body, but otherwise closes fine w/out using spacers on the crossmember.

Yeah, that is my plan if i can't get something to fit. I already threw away the OEM latch, since it isn't allowed per FIA Rally regulations.

I'm hoping someone has part numbers for some very tight 90-deg bends??? I mean, TIGHT bends. Low profile as possible.

I usually go to these guys for parts like that. They have a pretty solid variety of things and fab services as well. So chances are if they don't have it listed, they can make it for you.
