HOW TO DO AN ADVANCED SEARCH.

For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.
When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).
After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

DBW Pedal Location
I am running a 6.0L LQ4 in my swap, but it a DBW Pedal assembly.
Does anyone have any pictures of their DBW setup in their car? I am trying to figure out the best location to mount it, since it is inverted compared to the Porsche setup - Thanks!

Re: DBW Pedal Location
I cannot provide an example, but I have been considering a couple of different solutions concerning the DBW set-up on my L33 / 928 project.
My original thought was to work out keeping the Porsche pedal and attach the DBW pedal mechanism above it with a bearing or wheel for the contact point, and then have that depressed by the OE Porsche pedal. More recently, I am leaning towards replacing my ECU with a throttle cable compatible ECU and using a conventional throttle cable set-up to keep the OE Porsche pedal and reduce the bulk of the throttle body as a benefit. The second option is more work up front, but I think it may be a better long-term solution.
If you have the right DBW ECU, you might be able to convert it to cable operation. I opened mine up to check, but my ECU did not have the right internal components. The LT1 Wiring site has a guide that shows which ECU's can be converted.

Thanks! I printed the picture and will take a look later. Assuming you just used some self tapping metal screws?

480 hp out of the box. I drilled through the firewall and installed carrage bolts for the two on the right. the one on the left is mounted to the factory pedal stop. The one on the left has a 3/4 in spacer to allow the pedal to sit right. It fits very well and looks stock.
