HOW TO DO AN ADVANCED SEARCH.

Mon Jul 08, 2013 3:56 pm by Admin

For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.

When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).

After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

Front Shocks? Empty Front Shocks?

Post  Jchard944 Fri Nov 18, 2016 8:34 pm

I am looking to place an order for some front shocks. I was looking to place an order for some konis similar to the ones pictured below. My car is an 1983 944. Just want to make sure I place an order for the correct piece. If anyone has any other options or success with a different brand let me know I am open ears.

Thanks

The Koni sport shocks I use are inserts. If you haven't cut your housings for inserts, and don't want to, be sure you don't get just the insert part. On the other hand, inserts are cheap and cutting your existing housings to do the inserts isn't too hard.

Rich, I just watched several videos on cutting the housings and putting in the inserts. Was not aware you could even do that. Definitely think I will go that route. Do you have the part number of the inserts you used for the fronts? Looking to place an order here soon.

Also what springs did you use for the front? (brand, lb., etc.) Ill be going with a iron block 5.3 and some other forced induction mods added to the front. Plan is to get the car on scales here within next month just trying to get jump start if I can.

Thanks for the help

My car was a SPEC 944 racer in it's previous life. A local shop installed the Koni / Ground Control suspension package w/ 450 lb front springs. When I replaced the shocks recently, I got these:
