For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.
When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).

SBC Conversion Valve Cover Clearance
Hello there everyone. My conversion is coming along nicely. I have the C5 2piece bellhousing adapter combo, no spacer plate and Sanderson headers. I also have the motor mounts from TexasPerformanceConcepts. I have the motor installed and my crossmember in. My trouble is the valve cover clearance by the master cylinder. Is there a different M/C I need?

Re: SBC Conversion Valve Cover Clearance
I can't tell from the picture, is your factory brake booster still there? Supposedly it wont fit on an ls swapped 944. I removed mine and installed an adaptor from renegade hybrids. I still had to shave a little bit of material off the m/c just to gain a little more clearance. My valve cover fit fine, but the rear coil pack is pretty close. Glad I didn't have to relocate it like some other have had to do though!

Depending on what valve covers you are using, you might be able to cut and weld the corner of the cover to clear the M/C.
