For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.
When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).
After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

Hanging it out over Madness/ the debut of the Franken44
I've been to busy working on the car to post much, but I got the Franken44 on track for the first at Mid-Ohio this weekend, and had a blast. It is all that is wonderful and friendly from the 944 chassis, with a large dose of aluminum V8 goodness. God I love this thing!
20 second clip of the drift over Madness - not the fast way over, but was exciting!

Thanks to Pine Tree Motorsports, Peter Krause, Tim Olsen, and all those who helped get this little monster together and dialed in for a drama free/all fun weekend. Broke into the 1:35's. Need about 2-3 more sconds to compete with the ST3 Corvettes with aero, so wings & splitters will follow once the chassis is fully dialed in.

Excellent. Love Mid-O, but have not been there in a while. You are going to have to add a lot of weight to stay in ST3 3,070 lbs?

Detuned to just under 340. Still had to weigh 3,000 lbs. ST2 may be easier on the legs with the manual brakes, especially with aero.

With just over 500 HP and just under 3000.00 pounds, what class would I run in?

The classes are based on rear wheel HP. By rough calculations, you'd end up in ST1.

Nice job, Eric. Looks you're getting used to racing cars that have some real power
pretty quickly. As far as catching the Vettes, you got some work cut out for you there.
Do they allow geometry correction in ST? I think it would help a lot, during that drift
it looked like your left rear was almost off the ground.

Phil I have to bolt whatever I do onto the stock mounting points, but can relocate with brackets, etc.
This picture is over the top of Madness at Mid-O, so the car is neatly flying as is.

Madness can be a difficult turn, especially if you haven't driven it in a while. I put an MR2 off there (backwards) getting used to Mid-O on my first weekend there.
The car looks like a real blast, congratulations on getting on the track!
