For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.

When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).

After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

So, I'm considering buying an engine that is currently pushing 505 rwhp (waiting on build and dyno sheets, so not sure of TQ numbers). Although having that much HP/TQ would be fun, I will likely run a restrictor plate as I don't really NEED that much HP/TQ. So, that begs the question, how good is the turboS trans. I have a good cooler on the trans, but other than that it's stock. The car is used for race/DE only. Clutch is a Spec stage 3 6-puck, with lightweight flywheel and pressure plate.

I suspect the gearing will be OK with it as long as you're not killing it. The stock diff is probably not going to enjoy that much power since it's using friction disk for the LSD. I have a turbo S on my car and the gears are OK, but the diff is almost an open diff right now

I suspected as much. Many of the DE/race cars on this cite have more HP/TQ than I currently run. I know bumping up the power will begin to push others systems in my car. A good friend with a hybrid just emailed me looking for another turboS trans, he killed 3rd gear last weekend (appox 425rwhp and tq).

As for the LSD, I do have a welder sitting in my garage What a Face

Ok, let's bring this topic back. I believe that I spun the #6 rod bearing yesterday at the track, so I'm back looking at my friends LSA blocked engine (now even cheaper). What type of power is everyone putting through their Turbo S transmissions?
