HOW TO DO AN ADVANCED SEARCH.

Mon Jul 08, 2013 3:56 pm by Admin

For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.

When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).

After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

Got the car together and hope to get it back on the dyno soon. Purchased a copy of HP Tuners and found that the ECU/PCM is from an automatic and spitting out a lot of error codes for the trans. The system is not going into closed loop and I think the trans errors are preventing this.
I'm wondering if anyone else here has a copy of HP Tuners and could post their HPT file. I suspect I might have to do a segment swap to get it looking like a manual trans, but would also like as starting point basic tune from what people are running.

Anyone have a copy and mind posting their files?

hp tuners has a forum for these questions. You would probably get a better and more accurate response there.

1st save a copy of your ECM, then go into the engine DTC codes and disable all for the the transmission. BTW, since you have an auto ECM, the VSS settings should be right, if you are using a 40 tooth trigger wheel. HPTuners forum is awesome, join if you haven't. Very Happy

I use HP all the time, just turn off all the trans codes as mentioned before and make sure you disable the torque management if there is any.

Thanks guys. Just got the car running, so will start to play. Didn't realize I could just disable the trans codes. Have a lot of learning/playing to do

What does VSS stand for?
