For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.
When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).
After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

STOCK BRAKES OR AS CLOSE TO FOR NOW HELP!!!!!!
I'm not racing the porsche just yet. Just need to get some brakes setup for moving the car around.
I ordered a delete plate from Eric. What else do I need or not need? Just for using the stock brakes no upgrades at the moment! Thanks! Can't seem to get any straight answers on what to do without going the upgrade route.

Re: STOCK BRAKES OR AS CLOSE TO FOR NOW HELP!!!!!!
I'm no expert but from what I found doing my swap the choices are to go with a Hydroboost set up - either Ford Mustang Cobra or late BMW 7 series. Or option number two would be manual brakes. If you search you will see that manual brakes have been done a few different ways, dual master cylinders and a balance bar or I think a few guys have found a way to use the existing master cylinder but cut out the stock booster (obvious clearance issues with the cylinder head). Try the advnaced search and you should be able to find some build threads that will give you some ideas.
I copied what Doc and a few others did and went with the Mustang Hydroboost set up and a Tilton bias adjuster. The brakes have plenty of assist and are more than enough for street driving. I have only limited track use with Hydroboost - that should change in a few months

Re: STOCK BRAKES OR AS CLOSE TO FOR NOW HELP!!!!!!
Just to get something operational, you can bolt the stock master cylinder to the firewall with the plate you mention. You will need to hook up the pedal to the master which takes an adapter, I think xschop has made one in the past.
This will make them work but pedal effort will be high without a booster. And pushing hard on the pedal has caused the firewall to crack on some cars so be careful and sparing in using things this way.
