For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.
When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).

Newbie wanting to Install SBC 400 w Lingenfelelter tunnel ram
Hey Guys,
I have read tons of information and had thought when my 1986 NA Porsche 944 engine finally goes I would do the renegade option. But I decided to fix the head, replace timing belt and access. But, can you believe it! The timing belt went again after one year! I couldn't believe it! So that is it.. I've had a SBC 400 stroked out to a 434 with the Lingenfelelter tunnel ram sitting, built fresh and never ran, sitting. I need help. I am mechanically inclined and have changed many a motors. But the thought of placing in this motor which ois not straight forward seems a heavy feat. But I love my car. Does anyone have any old kits lying around they want to sell? Is there someone here who can machine the bellhousing adapter? My budget is limited hence I will need to do it myself. BTW, with my tunnel ram I have all of the electrical and FAST components so electrical will not be an issue. Just need all of the mechanicals.
Please Help,
Paul

Rubber Clutch absorber
So with this modification, would this eliminate the clutch rubber diaphram too? How does that change the clutch/ gear engagement feel?
