For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.

When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).

After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

Thats funny...maybe I should source a blank fuel rail cover and put the PORSCHE logo on them..I can tell the curious that Porsche contracted Chev to build a special LS1 as a factory option Very Happy

I heard that actually happened for real. Not the LS1 of course but that Porsche was talking to Chevy for a V8 back in the day. Guess it was in some book somewhere.

You have some valid points..maybe I should re-consider and do the 958 thing..the purists are already gonna go nuts when I lift the hood and they see the corvette fuel rail covers !! Very Happy

I would scrap the 958 idea personally as I believe the Porsche Cayenne can be designated as the 958 just as the 944 Turbo was designated as the 951. Also, I believe somebody asked if the 944 turbo was ever badged the 951....nope. If I'm not mistaken the 951 just came from the internal designation for the turbo engine. It is also stamped on the turbo block. I too thought about the 958.Gonna do either 948 or the factory GM 5.7 LS1 badge....kinda thinking against that one simply because it gives our little secret away. Twisted Evil

My car is completely de-badged except for the porsche script on the wing and the emblem on the header panel. I like it this way...but i do have two small raised "5.7L" badges that i might affix somewhere on the car once i'm done figuring out what i want to do with paint and body!

i don't think those are the exact ones...i went through my archives on ebay and couldn't find when i bought them, so i couldn't find the exact product, i'll keep looking to see if i can!

here's a pic of the rear of the car completely debadged

*edit* now that i look at those badges above, they look pretty similar to the ones that i have...i don't think they are exact, but very close
