For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.

When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).

After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

Im gonna take another guess. Sounds to me that the filter, being up higher than the lowest part of the fuel system, is draining fuel back or away from the o-rings (fuel isnt staying in the filter). Once cool, after sitting for awhile, the o-rings (usually swelled when submerged in fuel) shrink and with the fittings/lines not straight and pulling the fittings at the filter downwards (cocked) may allow fuel to leak.

Upon turning the fuel pump on (causing fuel to escape) fuel around the fittings allow the o-rings to swell again and once warm, seal the leak.

A quick test would be to have someone in the early morning, after the car has been sitting all night, turn the key to run while you jiggle the fittings. My fittings leaked if they werent perfectly straight and without any weight of the lines pulling the fittings at an angle.

That SS line is improperly installed. Just put a rubber one there. I also hope the hard lines are barbed there as well. Proper fittings there (flare to barb) would be ideal. You also don't have to run AN, NPT works wonders and is rated above the required 58psi. I ended up collecting a bunch of flaring tools just for the swap, and it's been worth every penny.

Your setup should look close to this:

Quick disconnect barbed fittings -> double fuel clamped fuel rated hose

The other side is a push in line cut down and flared to NPT -> stock hard bend -> fuel rated hose

Funny that you should say that. I went out earlier this evening to work on it again.

Turned the key on to pressurize the system and finally it started to leak on me. Started the car and fuel was spraying out from in between the SS braid! Directly onto the headers!

So off to the parts store, bought 18" of rubber fuel line and fuel line clamps. Came back home, replaced the hose, pressurized the system and the other end of the old rubber hose was leaking. Cut off that end, replaced those clamps with the fuel line clamps.

Key on, no leaks! Now to replace all the other clamps with fuel line clamps and put it back together.

This will at least hold me over until Eric ships me his new fuel filter/lines kit...

This was the offending hose. It was leaking through the stainless braid, so the inner rubber hose was cut up and I couldn't see it because of the stainless braid.
