For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.

When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).

After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

Ls6 intake manifold. Fits perfectly under my strut brace and under the hood. TonyG just switched to a fast 102 and with his fiberglass hood had to cut out the center brace to make it fit.

I'm torn between the LS6 and the BBK. I believe the BBK is 85mm vs the LS6 75mm. And it looks more "aftermarket" compared to the LS6 since its aluminum. Supposed to be rated at around 5-8 more hp than the LS6. Hmmmm the strut brace brings more into the mix tough...

5-8 HP is something you'll never feel. I wouldn't bother unless the gains are more like 15-20.

Whatever came on the 04 GTO, I think it is LS6. Ditto, I will replace mine when I get a supercharger, need something to spin those 335s! Very Happy

Well, I talked to Geoff at EPS and he said to go with the LS6 due to the heat soak issues with the BBK. Bought a LS6 off a guy today for $310 shipped! Pretty stoked. And yes it was a LS6 on the 04 GTO.

I'm running the BBK intake and the matched 85mm throttle body. It's been ported and polished and matched to the TB. It adds weight! easy 7lbs.
Looks better than the LS6 intake in my opinion. (But I still own one)
It also clears the strut brace just fine.

The BBK intake actually adds more than 15 lbs. Also unported it doesn't make a whole lot more power than the LS6.

Really the way to go is a Fast 90/92 if you can find one that's not a million dollars.

Tell me about it. You can buy a Fast 102 for the same amount of money people are asking for their used Fast 90's.

Bogus thing with the Fast 102 is you have to change injectors and fuel rails to make it work on an LS1, plus the thing really is too big for an LS1...
