For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.
When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).
After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

Also, if you are interest in 951 cover lenses, please speak up by posting:
“Yes, I would be interest in 951 cover lenses”
BTW this is not a contract; I just want to see how many would be interest.
Thanks

Headlights
Here are the Buckets and Covers made and sold by Eric at TPC. Really easy to fit and look great.

Re: New GTS headlight conversion kit available NOW page 5
So you would be buying the buckets from TPC, reselling them, and making/selling your own lenses?
Are you making lenses for the Turbo also, the lower inner corner of the nose panel has a different profile than the NA cars....the NA lens will sit a little lower.

Nope, I bought TPC molds so I can make the buckets and I will also offer them in Carbon fiber.948 wrote:So you would be buying the buckets from TPC, reselling them,

Yes, I will tackle this when I have the 924/944 one done.948 wrote:Are you making lenses for the Turbo also, the lower inner corner of the nose panel has a different profile than the NA cars....the NA lens will sit a little lower.

Little update
I’ve been thinking and trying to sole a corner warping problem for 2 weeks now and I just got it solves with a new mould and forming technique ,
but the mould have another problem (too shallow front lip) and will have to be reject
The good new is the next mould should be the good one and I get fast in making them lol…
The bad new is I will be very busy at work in March and it will slow down development
I’m still hoping to start production in May which is doable if nothing else pop up at work.
Stay tune

Re: New GTS headlight conversion kit available NOW page 5
The project is moving slowly today, no really progress apart that the new mold looks good.
Here’s the new racing strip edition, …I kind a screw-up the heating process.
Jokes a side, it’s getting there, this mold should be the one.
If everything goes as plan I should have pics of the fibreglass and carbon fibre TPC buckets by the end of this week.
Thanks

Re: New GTS headlight conversion kit available NOW page 5
Here are some pics of a set of not perfect carbon fibre TPC buckets,
finally got something done, just before I go away for 2 weeks for work.
Anyway, this is the first “kick at the cat” and it should give you a good idea of what is coming in a near future.
This is the first and only set I have for now but I should have a good set of carbon fibre and a set of fibreglass to show you in about 2 1/2 weeks.
BTW it’s less then 1 lbs for the set of carbon fibre bucket.

GT Headlights
I was reading on one of the links about the price. I would like to buy a kit when the come available. The pictures you have posted on this and the other links look nice and if you can keep the price at what I have read you will sell many! I have seen the GT Racing version and they are not worth $595. I have also ordered the duel GTS kit from Deutchnine and returened them because of a quality issue. I will say this about Deutchnine, The product was junk but the customer srevice for me was GREAT. I had no trouble in contacting them and they excepted my return with NO problems. I did loose money because I didn't get the import dutie fee back and the return shipping was on me and it wasn't cheap because it was the headlight kit and nose piece.
I'm am not a hard to please customer but for the money that Deuchnine charges the quality of work was appalling. When the parts arrived they needed much more then a coat of paint and installation. I would have been imbarrassed as a business owner to ship parts that looked like that for the amount of money they charge.
From what I have seen with your photo's it looks like quality is one of your concerns. I would like to purchase a set when they come available!

Interesting. I had my eye on the Deutsch9 ones when I someday get around to actually working on my car but hadn't heard much about them. They seem to make a big deal about quality, but obviously your comment has me rethinking the whole idea!

Re: New GTS headlight conversion kit available NOW page 5
Yea, My thoughts were your thoughts. I felt a product made in Switzerland was going to be top notch. Especially because they were asking top notch prices for the parts. I will say again that I had a pleasant experience with returning the items. They did not hesitate for a minute to except the return of merchandise. After my experience I did some research and found many others that returned the products because of the poor quality. In hindsight I wish that I would have done research before I spent my time and money with them. I read from others on other forums that they had a hard time getting them to return emails and phone calls. I personally did not have any problems in that regard. Don't just take my word for it do your own research before you spend your money. I didn't mean to high jack this post so I sincerely apologize for that. I am very interested in purchasing a set of these headlights for my S2 when they come available!

Re: New GTS headlight conversion kit available NOW page 5
Ok, I’m back home and thing are not going as smooth as I was hoping, in fact they are really slow.
At lease I have 1 good set of carbon fibre and will get 1 set of fibreglass by mid week.
I’m presently working on a second bucket design which will be more like the original ones.
I also have to find a good way to put my covers with the TPC buckets or built a different covers style, will see.
Thanks

Re: New GTS headlight conversion kit available NOW page 5
I tried to send you a PM but the system said I didn't have enough post's to do that yet! I would like to purchase a set for my 90 S2 but I want to make sure all the fit issues are ironed out. I know in the beginning of any production run there are usually some issue's to iron out. I'm most likely going to be interested in the fiberglass but will not rule out CF. My concern is the quality of fit! I don't want a part that needs to be worked over to make it look nice on the car. I'm talking paint and installation and all the body lines match up. I'm telling you if you can do that you will have a hit.

Re: New GTS headlight conversion kit available NOW page 5
Thank you for your interest.
I know what you mean and I’m doing my best to ensure good fitment and easy installations.
Painting will be on you and if you go with fibreglass they will be finish in black gel coat.
I will post here when I’m ready to sale and will keep on posting pics of progress.
I will find a local 944S2 or a 951 to test fit the covers when I get there.

Re: New GTS headlight conversion kit available NOW page 5
Hi everyone,
Things are going very slow, my fibreglass/carbon fibre guy is overload with work and had to put my buckets a side.
This also put on the stand by the development of the GTS original like bucket style.
Also, I had to teach my self AutoCAD and draw those buckets, here’s the first draft after 10 hours of work.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
On top of that, I’m going away for work again for the next 2-3 weeks.
At lease, I had time to work on the covers (left and right) over the last week.
I did not had time to do one for the left side yet but here’s one for the right side fresh from this morning.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
I will try to do one for the left side this afternoon if I find the time, if not it will have to wait until the 7-8 April.
Thanks

Re: New GTS headlight conversion kit available soon
Looking GREAT
AUTO-CAD self taught , I have to laugh as it is a tough program and took me back to the days I was in class and the professor didn't teach, we were all self taught. FANTASTIC program I will say.
Lookig forward to seeing the end results. Keep up the hard work.

After a quick trim to a TPC bucket (don’t look to close, it was a very quick trim ) you can see the potential.
