For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.
When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).
After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

Quick bell housing question - 1 piece MT or 2 piece?
Hey folks,
I've finally got my LS1 lift out and need to start sourcing other parts. I found a 1-piece MT C5 bellhousing locally for $100 which I thought was going to work, then I found this thread that seems to say it requires a new geared starter in order to work:https://944hybrids.forumotion.com/t346p15-c5-bellhousing-differences?highlight=bellhousing
Has anyone used the stock starter and the MT 1-piece BH? I found a 2-piece BH also but it's more money and not local. Thanks in advance for the help.

Get the 2-piece. Makes clutch diagnosis painless and initial pilot bearing-to-shaft placement super easy.
Happy New Year.

Thanks xschop, I'll get the two piece.
By the way, what brakes are you running these days? It seems like I've seen a lot of threads from you with different set ups. What did you finally settle on?
Happy New Year to you too.

Re: Quick bell housing question - 1 piece MT or 2 piece?
Lexus Monoblocks/Boxster-S rotors up front....RX7 4-pots/951 rotors rear. 5/8" Wilwood Master on front circuit and 1" Wilwood master on rear. I have tested the Wilwood Superlite/ Cayenne 330 rotors up front and designed a kit for them. They perform incredibly well. When spring comes I will design the adapters to put Wilwood Radial Dynapro's on the rear with 951 rotors. The Z06 caliper/Cayenne 350mm rotor may be reserved for a track build.
I still have a couple sets of these left with centering rings....

Turns out there is a C3/C4/C5 Corvette only bone yard in the St. Louis area that had a two piece unit. I drove over and picked it up for $100. I think there is another one at Dino's Corvette Salvage:
