The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.
When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).
After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

Re: I need to replace my radiator
Admin, the 99 firebird lower hose is just barely too small to go on the 951 rad outlet. Is there some trick/mod that I need to do to make it work?Admin wrote:Lower is a 99' Firebird and the upper will need to be spliced

No tricks, just slide it on. That's what I use on all the cars that we convert.

Maybe I need to get the hose from the dealer instead of Pep Boys?Admin wrote:No tricks, just slide it on. That's what I use on all the cars that we convert.

I used a 99 Firebird hose from Napa or Autozone, can't remember, but it worked fine. I do remember having to cut it for length where it goes on to the radiator to make it fit. Have you cut yours already?

Oops, just noticed that one end of the hose is bigger than the other. Doh!
PS: However the small end of the hose won't fit on the water neck either...

Re: I need to replace my radiator
Well, I'm stuck.
I went to Napa to check their products and and their 99 Firebird lower rad hose and water neck are the same as the Pep Boys ones that I have.
The lip on the water neck is slightly larger diameter than the lip on the 952 rad outlet, but the small end of the 99 Firebird hose doesn't fit over either one, so I'm stuck.
Any ideas? Can the hose end be stretched?

Thanks, a heat gun did the trick! I plugged in the P cooling fan wiring and only the pass side fan comes on, and only on high, and at 203F. My relay is bad?944convert wrote:try a pot of boiling water & stick the end in it
