For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.

When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).

After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

No, get the S2 front swaybar and turbo rear. IIRC the S2 front sway bar was slightly bigger.

what is a s2. why so diffrent than a turbo or regular 944. i deffinatly will get the sway bars. Thats an excellant idea. and the spindles rotors and claipers will they go on my car also. He said the rears will bolt on but im not sure about the front. What about the fuel pump. The trans is listed on ebay. its the 944 turbo s2 trans no cooler and no lsd. it has 60k miles with the torque tube. I want to see what he has for rims also. I just want to do it right the first time. I appreciate all the feedback guys.

Here's some feedback. Thanks to Tehone and a rainy day pictorial, a custom mount is doable.... This is the best pic that shows what needs to be done and the cross-bar can be a solid flat piece although arched and attached to the billet mounts. Again the late mount attaches to the flat side of the intermediate bracket and NOT the back side of the 2 "nipples"

I scored a set of 968 m030 sways also with the turbo s m030 rear sways. That should work

I just realized that i might be able to run the sway bar. doesnt the late model sway bars mount diffrent than the early sway bars to the contol arm. My sway bar is straddle mounted and it looks like the late models bolt through the control arm. Will a late model control arm fit my car.

I now have a turbo trans/ torque tube with 60k miles. Turbo radiator/ fan assembly and support/ turbo steering wheel. Turbo rear calipers and rotors/ and now the xchop controll arms and early solid trans mounts, to go with my 968 m030 front and rear sway bars. I hope this helps finish my project. Thank you xshop I will keep you updated.

What year of 944 did you put this Turbo trans in? I have an 84' that I am installing a 86' turbo trans into. I have wondered about the oiler cooler and you mentioned cutting some of the metal sheild under the fuel tank and I am not sure of what you cut out. I have not tried to install my tranny as of yet, still in the outside of car mock up.

If there is an issue with room for the oil cooler and there would be the need to remove the cooler what is needed to plug the holes in the tranny case?
