For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.

When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).

After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

Ok, im getting back to working on this project, after a winter of working on Jeep Wranglers. I got my bellhousing yesterday, my cost $225 (I work at a dealership). So here is were this G8 oil pan question comes from, My dad has a G8 GT and they were doing an oil change on it and i noticed that the pan was real thin thickness at the front. I didnt have time to measure it, and also the motor mounts look like they might work with drilling new holes in the cross member. Again i didnt measuhre anything. All that I lack for putting the engine in ( 2000 Corvete) to do initial test fit, is the adapter plate and the motor mounts and a oil pan, I have the "batwing" pan that came with the motor but dont think it will clear the exhaust. So will the G8 GT 6.0 pan or a Hummer 5.3 pan work? My car is a non power steering
83 that the previous owner built for a track car, so the suspension and brakes are upgraded already and it has a LSD. The car was fast with the worked over stock motor, so i cant imagine what it will be like after this project, or bunch of small projects is done. any advice on the pan question would help.
