For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.
When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).
After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

Looking to do a LS2 conversion but don't now which kit to use?
Hi
I am new to this forum. I see that renegade hybrids and Texas Performance both make conversion kits. I want to know which one has the most bang for the buck or is better?
Thanks

TPC sponsors this site. So, as mentioned by someone before, purchasing from them helps support this site which provides technical support. From my experience, the parts are high quality, the customer support and service are excellent.
If you compare the two basic kits, TPC's is more complete and costs less.

Also I update my parts continually to make them the best, Call RH and ask when was the last time they updated anything besides their prices
TPC #!
TPC is the only conversion vendor I would deal with. Eric has redesigned many of the part and they are superior to RH in every way. You will not find better parts, service and value than TPC!

Re: Looking to do a LS2 conversion but don't now which kit to use?
full disclosure - i know Eric and do the work on my cars at his shop.
My V8 conversion parts were from RH, that was before TPC. I would do TPC now for the following reasons:
1) Eric's total commitment to quality and customer service
2) Eric has vastly improved the conversion process by using more off the shelf parts
3) Eric has moved the conversion process forward by introducing Hydroboost brakes, custom air intake, long tube headers, better engine mounts and more.
4) Eric is continually contributing to the forum for the DIY and kit mechanics.
At the end of the day, Eric is committed to improving V8 and soon V6 conversions.
