For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.
When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).
After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

Can anyone post up some clear pictures of relocated coil packs?
I need to relocate the coil packs for the brake master cylinders. I need to see how others are relocating the coils. Do you have to get longer spark plug wires or get into the harness to free up some length?

Where are you moving them? I used truck coils, which moves them up on the valve cover, so I got high performance truck wires, which are plenty long enough.

If you use the truck coils a new fuel rail will be needed, right? I thought it would be easier and cheaper to relocate the coils to fit the dual master cylinders. Just exploring my options.

I stacked the rearmost 2 cyl on the driver's side in order to fit the Wilwood MC. I'll post a pic tomorrow.

Thanks, that would be helpful. Some one here posted a picture of a LS motor in a S10 with the coils stacked but the picture wasn't clear enough to see how it was done.

Ok, a few photos are posted - check out my gallery.
I used a pair of long bolts and nyloc nuts to position the #5 coil (flipped over on it's back) on top of the #7 coil. The stock plug wires only 'just' reach, so I'm using a truck wire for the top #7 coil.
The coil bracket is cut down as well for clearance with the MC.
I hope this helps,
Dan.

I am using Xshop's dual master cylinder mount. I will need to relocate the last two coils or go with the truck coils. If I go hydroboost in the future the coils will have to be relocated anyway no matter if they are the truck or car units. I am leaning toward relocating them to the wheel arch for that reason.
Vorsche944 has some great pictures of the relocated drivers side coils and the brackets in his gallery. I am glad you guys take pictures.
