HOW TO DO AN ADVANCED SEARCH.
Mon Jul 08, 2013 3:56 pm by Admin
For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.
When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).
After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

948 badge Poll....what kind of badge would you buy?
948 Badge
Here's the latest info:
Seems the anodized option is out of the question for two reasons, one is the cost and two, the badges need a hole so that they can be racked for anodizing. I would have to outlay $550 for this option.
Bottom line is a mill finish aluminium, 3/16" thick, same size as original 944 badge.
Cost will be $12:50 each plus postage.
Who's game?
Suggest you get black powder coat done locally to you if you want color.

948 Badge
Here's the plan. To protect everyone and make it easy for all of us I am going to put 18 of the 20 that I ordered (two for me) on Ebay with a fixed. buy now price. The price will reflect the actual cost plus any expenses like my shipping and paypal/ebay fees, plus Priority mail to you.
I expect that will be about $18 to $19 each including shipping. I hope the vendor sticks with their quote.
I will post on this site about 48 hours prior to placing them on Ebay so that you all have a chance to get one. Judging by the Poll, I doubt if the 18 will sell very fast.
More as soon as I hear from the vendor. Order has been placed.

I approved the artwork today and gave the vendor the go ahead on the 948 Badges.
Picture is not full size. More later when the badges arrive.

948 badge
No sticky tape, that will be your choice. These will be plain aluminium finish as the cost of anodizing was outrageous plus a hole was required for this process. You can paint or powdercoat or do what ever you want to finish.

Here they are.
Just arrived today, I have 18 of these for sale. On Sunday at 6pm EST I will start a "buy now" posting on Ebay for all 18. The price will be $20.00 and that includes $4.95 Priority Mail shipping in the USA. The price also includes all Ebay and Paypal fees. Paypal only for payment please. This method protects us all. Ebay link will be posted here on Sunday.
The picture shows the thickness, one plain badge and one badge I quickly sprayed matt black for the photo.
For comparison is the factory plastic 944 badge. Hope you are going to like them, it's the best I can do at a sensible price. My only profit is two "free" badges.
The "bending of the badges" is caused by my cheap camera lens.

I'm definitely down for one. I will buy another towards the end if there are no other takers...Looks like that won't be the case....Thanks for the hard work on this.
