For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.
When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).
After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

A/C or Not?
Not sure if running a/c is worth all the trouble plumbing it all together does anyone have any insight on this procedure or feedback.

Re: A/C or Not?
Depends on how you are going to run it. I am going to run the AC and fans through the computer. The line routing is going to be like the Porsche system with extensions run to the LS1 AC compressor. That is what I plan, anyway.

I put it on my "to do" list. Get the car running, sort out all the gremlins, then worry about it in a year. It's definitely something you can live without for a while!

Talk to admin, I think he can put together the hoses for you for a price. After that the plumbing is pretty straight forward. He's done it a few times and has the process down.

Was definitely a must have for me, not that bad to do.

Yep, must have for me too. No way I'm driving this car 6 hours to the track in 100+ temps without it!

My 2 cents worth, I'm using an F body Compressor and mount.
The Sloan engine mount/set back plate on the pax side will not fit with compressor.
I'm waiting for Sloan to come up with a promised fix or someone elses fix for the problem.
Regret I can't afford the TPC crossmember.

Re: A/C or Not?
I have the set back plates made, I am just trying to get time to make the uprights. I have the jig made and know that they fit, I promise, you'll be the the first in line for them. Ok you and Bluemach1, He gets a set too..
Re: A/C or Not?
And me, don't forget about me. What do you do with the lines? I was going to run extenders from the factory lines across to the compressor.

Re: A/C or Not?
Sorry, and you. and you. and you. and you.
I think that should cover just about everyone that has asked.
For the ac lines I only have to make two. One that runs from the condenser to the compressor, and one from the low pressure side of the evaporator to the compressor. I have to reuse part of the factory hard line at the fire wall and weld on a barb fitting for the new hose to attach to. This is the biggest pain in the A$$.

And me for the AC lines please.

Re: A/C or Not?
Yes, I need the large line ,where it bolts to the fire wall. Only about 6" of it is all I need. I'll post up some pictures later.
