For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.
When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).

944 Clutch M/C
When going with the V-8 conversion is the stock Porsche Clutch M/C used or an aftermarket? I am looking for a Clutch M/C as I am swapping from an automatic to a 5-spd.
I have looked at some of the members cars and it appears that the stock M/C is not used as the stock M/C has a remote reservoir where the ones I see used has the reservoir attached to the top of the M/C.
As someone that has no knowledge about Porsche's I may be making this harder than it really is since I have no idea what the stock M/C looks like.
Is a Chevy C-5 slave cylinder is also needed? I found a C-5 bell housing from an eBay seller but seller was very irate in the reply so I will keep looking for one. I think he crashed his C-5 and didn't have insurance and is parting the car out.
As a newbie to the forum and the Porsche V-8 conversions everyone here has really been nice answering my questions that have probably been answered many times before but I appreciate all the help.

The stock master cylinder is used.
You need a C5/C6 slave cylinder.
